ABOUT WOODHURST

Woodhurst is a picturesque and historic Anglo Saxon Ring village situated within the heart of Cambridgeshire countryside. The village is conveniently located between the popular market towns of St Ives and Huntingdon and offers great road links to both the A14 and A1. Excellent transport links are also available with the Guided Busway to Cambridge located nearby and Huntingdon train station providing regular trains to central London in under an hour.

Old Hurst is just a three-minute drive, offering 'Johnsons,' an excellent Farm and Butchers, whilst the other nearby village of Pidley offers a restaurant, village hall and golf complex. The market town of St Ives is around 7 minutes away with excellent facilities, and Huntingdon town is 7 miles away, offering trains into London Kings Cross from 50 minutes. Cambridge is about a 35 minute drive away.

As well as the fantastic sense of peace and quiet afforded by the rural location, the property is well situated for amenities. In regard to primary schools, children have the options to go to school in Houghton which is about a 5 min drive away, while some of the other children from the village go to school nearby in Abbots Ripton. For secondary education, Woodhurst is on the St. Ivo school bus route, amongst others. There are good pubs in Broughton and Abbots Ripton and it's possible to walk over the fields to Old Hurst where there is an excellent farm shop, tea room, restaurant and bar with lots of activities for children as well.
